Student Services
At Visions In Education, we intentionally offer a broad range of support services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our dedicated team includes social workers, school counselors, a foster and homeless liaison and more to provide pivotal and specialized services for all of our students. We believe that education is not just about academics but also about creating a nurturing community that addresses the unique circumstances of each student. Our comprehensive student support services embody the values of inclusivity, empathy, and a commitment to the holistic development of every individual.
We provide a systematic process to identify, refer, educate and support students and families who are experiencing life challenges that become obstacles to academic success. These services ensure continued enrollment, school stability, and regular school attendance for students in difficult situations. Through partnerships with resources like Care Solace and a team of caring staff we provide support to our students and families.
We also assist our students with access to bus passes, housing resources for those in transition and access to lists of county-specific organizations that offer food, clothing, health clinics, counseling and more.
If you are in crisis or in need of immediate help, call the 24/7 California Youth Crisis Hotline at 800-843-5200.
The McKinney-Vento Act provides rights and services to children and youth experiencing homelessness, which includes those who are: sharing the housing of others due to loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason; staying in motels, trailer parks, or camp grounds due to the lack of an adequate alternative; staying in shelters or transitional housing; or sleeping in cars, parks, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, or similar settings. Please see our Board Policy for more information.
