Gaming and simulation is one of the most popular career exploration choices for teens. Visions In Education is proud to provide 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Independent Study and University Prep students with educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom and reach into their future. Visions’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) program strives to prepare students for college and career by keeping students engaged while providing credentialed instruction, work-based learning opportunities, dual enrollment and articulated college credit.
Game and Simulation is a CTE pathway offered by Visions that teaches students the fundamentals of game design including JavaScript, game mechanics, audio editing, storytelling and game world development. Students will work on building their own games in these courses taught by a Visions teacher.
At the end of the pathway students will have the foundational knowledge and skills needed to be successful in careers involving game/simulation conceptualization. After additional schooling, future game career options include: tester, artist, producer, designer, programmer, developer or animator. Learn more.
