Congratulations Class of 2024!

On June 5th, 2024, we had the honor of graduating over 1,300 students, the largest graduating class in Visions’ history. At each ceremony, we were graced with student performances, such as singing and tap dancing, and powerful student speeches, and had the pleasure of commemorating this milestone with each and every one of our graduates, their families, and our incredibly dedicated Visions staff.

“Being part of creating meaningful and memorable graduation experiences for our students and their families fills me with a deep sense of fulfillment,” says Angelica Gallardo, Administrative Assistant to the Director of Student Services and Lead Graduation Coordinator.

The Send-Off

Each year, it seems our graduation ceremonies get bigger, louder, and more celebratory. This year’s ceremonies were no exception, and because our Class of 2024 graduates came into high school during the peak of COVID, they exited louder, longer, and with more excitement than ever.

“I am continually in awe and humbled by the students and families that we are able to serve at Visions. Our graduates are truly going to be significant changemakers in the world,” says Director of Student Services Matt Patterson. “Here’s to Visions’ largest graduating class to date!”

From college to the armed forces, our graduates are off to do some amazing things. We are grateful that you chose to spend your high school career with us, and whatever your next chapter may hold, we are already so proud. On behalf of everyone at Visions In Education, congratulations Class of 2024!

Hear from Our #VisionsGrads!

We asked some of our 2024 graduates to share their experiences during their time at Visions – read what they had to say below!

“As someone who’s been with Visions since the 4th grade, I’ve really enjoyed being a student here and have formed some lifelong relationships with my teachers and peers. The best part of being a student at Visions was taking advantage of their many opportunities and learning how to set goals for myself.Visions has taught me how to become independent and manage my time wisely, and through opportunities such as being the vice president for CSF, obtaining the Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish, and joining the STEAM club, I was able to expand my education and collaborate with peers in an online environment.”

“I recently wrote a paper on what gives us success in a learning environment with my thesis being the goals we set for ourselves and whether or not we meet them. With Visions’ clear grading systems and interfaces, I was easily able to set reasonable goals and meet them for every class and submit my homework on time. I was also able to stay motivated by the interesting classes and topics. This contributed greatly to my high school success and it set me on the right path for success in college. I’d like to thank from the bottom of my heart my parents, my main Visions advisor, Ms. Rachel DeBecker, and my counselor, Connie Mandujano, for their encouragement and constructive criticism!”

“Nora has had an amazing experience at Visions. [Credentialed teacher] Erica Alexander was motivating, empathetic, empowering and supportive. Likewise, [Counselor] Rija has been a champion for Nora attending City College during her senior year where she excelled, and supporting her towards a career as a nurse. Both of us are grateful to Visions and ready for the discipline and diligent study ahead for her to achieve her career goals.” – Anastasia Baskerville, Parent
