Educate Your Child with Our Support

In our Home School Academy (grades TK-8), parents and guardians can support their students’ educational goals by providing the primary delivery of academic instruction in the home. We partner with families to offer flexibility and support allowing them to provide their children with a high quality education.

Invested In Your Child’s Success

Our caring credentialed teachers support families to ensure curriculum meets California State Content Standards and to assess student achievement. Credentialed teachers help parents and students take advantage of our flexible instructional program, approved curriculum options, enrichment vendors, events, clubs and other resources to reach their goals. We encourage our students to participate in state testing and assessments and provide support to ensure success.

Families are provided a $3,000 annual budget for curriculum, enrichment and supplies.

To help parents with their homeschooling journey, we provide various supports including webinars and many free online resources from Scholastic, BrainPOP, Encyclopedia Britannica and more

4-6 hours per day of instruction with your student
Know your student’s learning style
Choose curriculum from Visions’ approved list that supports grade level standards
Communicate with your credentialed teacher
Attend activities, field trips and school sponsored events

Enrichment Activities, Clubs & Events

We offer our Home School families a variety of Enrichment Activities to enhance their educational experience. Families have access to:

- Hundreds of Enrichment Vendors: We’re partnered with tons of organizations including parks and recreation districts, cities and businesses which provide services like tutoring, martial arts, swimming, online learning and much more! See our full list of approved enrichment vendors here.
- Weekly Events: We organize weekly events throughout our service area to allow students to connect with other Visions students. Activities include art, physical education and more.
- Student Clubs: We offer clubs in a variety of topics for various grade levels that allow students to explore their passions and try new things in a safe and supportive environment.

Empowering Parents to Be Teachers

Families should plan on a commitment of providing at least four to six hours of in-home instruction on a daily basis. Our credentialed teachers will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to ensure the curriculum meets California standards, assess student achievement, and administer state-mandated testing. While enrolled with Visions, students may not be enrolled in any other school public or private. Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is an early education program for children that turn five between September 2 and February 2.
