Community College Dual Enrollment

Visions In Education provides community college dual enrollment opportunities to our high school students. These free College & Career Access Pathways (CCAP) courses are offered in partnership with American River College and Folsom Lake College. Participation in dual enrollment allows students to earn high school and college credit at the same time. This helps students get a head start on a college degree and saves on future tuition costs.

Visions students may take up to two college courses a semester. They work with their counselor to understand the requirements, enroll at the community college and choose courses from our approved list. Classes are reserved for Visions students only and are taught virtually by college professors.

Approved American River College courses include: College Composition, Advanced Composition and Critical Thinking, College Success, Introduction to Music: Rock & Roll, Introduction to Film and Psychology.

Approved Folsom Lake College courses include: Medical Language for Health Care Providers, Nutrition and Cultural Foods of the World.

Dual Enrollment Features:

Note: if a student is interested in taking different courses not on the approved lists they may work with their counselor and enroll in special admit dual enrollment (aka concurrent enrollment).
