IMPORTANT: A completed application does not guarantee placement at Visions.
Documents for a Complete Application
Your application is not complete until all necessary documents are received. You will be given directions about how and when to submit these documents. Please send copies and do not send originals.
1Legal proof of age:
We need legal proof of age for the student (e.g., birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or immigration certificate.) A passport with an Affidavit of Birth Date is acceptable for proof of age. If none of these documents are obtainable, the parent may complete the Affidavit of Birth Date.
2Proof of Residency:
Since we need to have proof that you live in one of our nine counties, please submit a copy of a cable/internet, lease/mortgage or utility (electric, landline telephone or gas) bill showing the name of the applicant’s parent or guardian. If your cable or utilities are in someone else’s name, you may submit both a copy of their bill and a signed letter from them stating that the parent and student live at their address.
3Immunization and Health Records
All students must submit a copy of their immunization record. All students entering 7th through 12th grades will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) to apply.
Enrollment Appointment
Enrollment Appointment
After your application has been processed, we will attempt to match your student with an available credentialed teacher in your area. Once a teacher has been assigned we will contact you to schedule your enrollment appointment.
An Enrollment Specialist will call you to complete your student’s enrollment. During your conversation you will learn more about our program, how to contact your teacher and how to order curriculum and supplies. We will also try to answer any questions that you may have.

An amazing experience!
I've really enjoyed independent study at Visions! All of my teachers have been awesome, I've felt very supported in my academics, and I feel like it was all around an excellent choice to attend as my high school. I love how independent it is; throughout high school, I've been able to work according to my own schedule, which I feel has really benefitted my learning experience. The only real downside I've noticed is that students need to put in effort to interact with their peers. Visions does a great job organizing in-person events, but because it's independent study, students have to put in the effort to show up. It's not like a normal high school where you're around other students all day. This hasn't been a problem for me personally--if anything, I feel not constantly being around other students has been very beneficial--but that might be more of an issue for more extroverted students. Otherwise, though, it's been an amazing experience, and I've really enjoyed attending my school!Read moreRead less

Very supportive teachers!
My experience with Visions was perfect. It worked perfectly with whatever schedules I was faced with throughout my time in high school, and the teachers were all very informative and supportive during my time there. A good example was during COVID when everything first shut down, not only was I totally prepared and continue my schooling as usual, but the teachers and counselors in Visions all continued to be very helpful and supportive throughout.

Recommending Visions to others!
The school was really good. I actually graduated a year and a half early which was really nice. I liked the flexible schedules they offered, both short term and long term. I was able to do my homework whenever I wanted to, as long as it was submitted by the end of the week. I also loved my teacher. She was so amazing and was always there to support me. Overall I enjoyed this school and would definitely recommend it to others.

Very flexible and plenty of resources!
I like that this school is very flexible and gives resources to help students with any questions they have about projects or assignments through study halls by their teachers and a free tutoring service. Visions In Education also provides special courses, like Directed Project to give students the chance to learn a new skill they are interested in through the allotted money they give. Overall, this school makes sure that students are well-rounded in preparing them for college and the real world.

Incomparable to a traditional school!
I came to Visions in Education after leaving a traditional school that proved to be far too overwhelming for me. I found it much easier to learn on my own independently. The staff at Visions in Education have been very helpful throughout my four years at this school and have always been able to make accommodations when my family was going through difficult times.

Improved my grades tremendously!
Visions is an amazing online expierence unlike any other. Visions has helped me improve my grades tremendously. Not only that but they have helped guide me in the right direction, and encourage me to go for it instead of playing it safe. The teachers are very supportive and are always there to help, they also respond to any questions, emails, or texts fairly quickly.

Best school I’ve ever been to!
This was probably the best school I’ve ever been to in my entire school career. It was an independent study, and due to my circumstance at the time, it gave me the opportunity to continue with my schoolwork in a way I was able to be successful.

My mentor teacher is on top of everything and checks in on how I'm doing to make sure I'm track weekly. I would recommend Visions in Education if you are looking for a well-rounded, overall great atmosphere of teachers that are there for you and an awesome learning experience, while being at home!
